The Morning From Hell: A Cautionary Tale
From tripping over laundry to finding keys in the fridge — a humorous guide to overcoming a chaotic morning.
As you stumbled out of bed in the morning, bleary-eyed and still half-asleep, you knew it was going to be one of those days!
You know the ones — where everything seems to go wrong from the get-go and you can't seem to catch a break.
First, you tripped over the pile of laundry you had left on the floor the night before and went crashing to the ground. As you picked yourself up, you realized you’d left your coffee machine on and your home was now filled with the acrid smell of burnt coffee.
Great, just what you needed to wake up!
You managed to shower… get dressed… brushed your teeth… but then you couldn't find your keys anywhere. After tearing apart your place and turning it into a disaster zone, you finally found them in the fridge (no, you really have no idea how they got there!).
As you rushed out the door, you realized you had forgotten your phone and had to go back inside to get it. And of course, as luck would have it, it was raining cats and dogs outside. So when you finally arrived at work you were stressed and soaked.
But you know what they say — it's all downhill from here, right?
STOP the story here please!!
We’ve all had days like this, but, fortunately, there are some simple ways you can avoid them happening again in your life:
Make a to-do list the night before: This will help you stay organized and on top of things in the morning.
Lay out your clothes and gather any items you need (keys, phone, etc.) before going to bed: This will save you time and hassle in the morning.
Set your coffee machine to start brewing automatically: Nothing beats the smell of freshly brewed coffee to start your day off right.
Keep your living space clean and organized: A cluttered space can lead to a cluttered mind, and we all know how chaotic that can be.
Take a few deep breaths and try to stay calm: Things may not always go as planned, but try not to let it stress you out. Take a moment to regroup and then tackle the day with a positive attitude.
Hopefully, these five tips will help you avoid ever having a hellish start to your day again.
Happy rising!
